It can be found in a variety of natural habitats, including: Tropical or subtropical dry forests, Tropical or subtropical moist lowland forests, Rocky shores, and Sandy shores. The main characteristics of S. Setaceus are its climbing stems and aerial roots. S. Setaceus has stems that climb trees or clamber over rocks, and are usually covered in aerial roots.
